Indo-Japan Friendship Performance of Indian Classical Dance organised by Japanese Consulate will be conducted in Chennai on 26 Feb 2016.The dance festival titled 'A Night of Jasmine' will showcase different Indian classical dance forms by Japanese Indian Classical Dancers.Five distinguished Japanese artists, who have been studying and performing in India over many years will each perform different classical Indian dance styles on this occassion. Dr.Padma Subrahmanyam will be the chief guest of the event.
The dancers are teaching their respective Indian dance forms in Japan and thus contributes to
the promotion of Indian culture in their home country. For the first time they are to perform together under the auspices of the Japanese Consulate in Chennai. The event celebrates the long-standing friendship between the two countries.
