Kalamandalam Viswasree & troupe will perform Nangiarkoothu, the traditional Sanskrit dance drama, on 17 June 2015 at the Museum Auditorium, Govt Museum, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
The story played- "Madhurapravesham" . Viswasree will be accompanied by Kalamandalam Sajikumar and Margi Mahesh in percussion, Mizhavu and Anayara Vijayan in Edakka, the percussion.Cymbals / Thalam is by Margi Usha.
Programme begins at 06.00 pm with a brief appreciation class. Margi Usha will demonstrate on mudras. A detailed synopsis will be available at the venue.
The event is organised by: Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, Kutiyattam Kendra (Centre for Kutiyattam), Thiruvananthapuram, & Dept. of Museums & Zoo, Govt. of Kerala as a part of their monthly nangiarkoothu performance.
